SuYash is working on the Purple Line (PL), 16-mile, light rail Public Private Partnership (P3) project that connects Bethesda in Montgomery County to New Carrolton in Prince George’s County as part of the design team. PL is a Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) project, involving road sharing between light rail, cars, bicycles and pedestrians.
This project runs through urban areas and links Bethesda, Silver Spring, Takoma/Langley Park, the University of Maryland (UMD) at College Park, and New Carrollton. It includes the completion of the Capital Crescent Trail between Bethesda and Silver Spring, the Green Trail along Wayne Avenue to Sligo Creek Parkway, and a bike path through the UMD campus. It includes one tunnel, 21 stations, and two maintenance yards. Majority of roadways that are shared for this project are MDOT State Highway Administration (SHA) roadways designed to MDOT SHA standards, criteria and guidelines.
